Staying Dry AND Active Naturally With Tom’s of Maine Deodorants

Wanna know a secret?

I’m a sweater.

Yep. And it doesn’t take a nice long run either. A few weeks ago I was reading an article about how the more active you are, the more you sweat. Great, so you want us to be active, and then we will be rewarded by sweating, right? Perfect. Thank gosh for natural solutions like Tom’s of Maine.

Years ago, my mother had breast cancer. I was a sophomore in college and it was one of the worst pieces of news I can ever remember getting. I have been ultra-conscious about breast health ever since and one of the steps I have taken has been to cut out harsh chemicals from my deodorant since there have been many studies performed linking them to the development of cancer. I began using Tom’s of Maine long -lasting deodorant.

At first I was reluctant because I wasn’t sure that it would work as well as deodorants that I have used in the past. I am an active person. Always have been and always will be. I can not be stopped by my tendency to perspire. With 24 hour wetness protections, it is not an issue.

Tom’s of Maine was a great choice then and it continues to be a part of my every day (sometimes two or three times a day) routine. In fact, I don’t leave home without it!

I became turned onto the company as I read about them and their values. The co-founders, living city life, decided to head up north to Maine where they could live more simply. As they started to transform their lives to include natural, unprocessed products, they realized there was a need for more personal care items that fit into this category. And the company was started. Actually, there was a lot in between. You can read more about it here.

My Tom’s of Maine goes everywhere with me. It’s a staple in the ye old diaper bag! I buy a few at a time and love that Amazon carries it so that I can get it delivered right to my door with my Prime membership. I generally buy the Unscented Long Lasting Deodorant but also always have a Naturally Dry Natural Powder Scented Antipersperant as well. :)

If you go to the Tom’s of Maine website, under products, you can see the ingredients in each and every product, where that ingredient is sourced and why it is in there. THAT transparency is awesome. I am so much more comfortable as a consumer knowing that there are no hidden ingredients and I can feel #FreshNaturally. I am so thankful to #CollectiveBias for the opportunity to talk about my attachment to this product!
