Weekly Meal Plan: October 12 – 18th

Weekly Meal Plan

Woot! In just a couple of hours Mama H will be on her way! We have had quite the exciting October so far (I totally need to write a post about it) and it isn’t even close to over. Mama H comes and then my dad will be meeting her up her at the end of the week. They’ll stay for about a week and then just after they come home, Ben’s grandmother will come to spend 2 weeks with us. We heart visitors so we’re pretty excited about this!

October is a gorgeous month here in MA and there are lots of fun things that we get to explore for the first time with everyone. And it’s a great produce month too. Lots of fresh food still to be harvested!

With that comes…some delicious meals and foods!

Sunday: Amazing Vegetable Soup and Grilled Cheese

Cabbage just speaks vegetable soup to me these days. And I am going to go ahead and say it…this is the best vegetable soup you will ever put in your mouth. It will take your standard for vegetable soups to a whole new level. Just try it!

Monday: Pork Chops with Brussels Sprouts

Tuesday: Easy Slow Cooker Chili

I’m gonna go out on a limb and try a new chili recipe {gasp}! My family is SO used to the one I always make but I am not too fond of it because of the canned chili beans that it uses. I’d like to try this recipe to see if I can morph some of the flavors and add a pinch of this and a pinch of that to make it our own. We’ll see!

Wednesday: Irish Beef Stew

I’ve been telling C that I’ll make this for a long time so here goes!

Thursday: Mama H’s Spare Ribs with Baked Beans and Potatoes

Friday: Steaks on the Grill and Baked Potatoes

Saturday: Dinner Out

We’ll be doing some sight seeing this weekend and so I am just going off the assumption that we’ll be eating out!

This week I found inspiration in this post by Sunday Supper Movement. October is Unprocessed Foods Month and this post is filled with options for every course. There are TONS in it! Check it out HERE.
