It is summertime here in MA and one thing I love during the summer is a good dip recipe. It’s the perfect item to bring to a BBQ, potluck, or any other party, and it is great for pre-dinner cocktails at your own home!
What’s even better is when that dip is even just a little on the healthy side!
I am a huge Greek food fan and so clearly Tzatziki has always been on my love list. My mom and I eat at this lovely Greek restaurant in Yardley, PA any time we get the chance called the Canal Street Grille. An amazing Greek Salad is served there (even better than Olga’s;) and the warm pita bread is delish. Their tzatziki isn’t bad either;)
My recipe calls for one item that isn’t exactly standard. It is one of my very favorite treats…feta cheese. Everything is better with feta.
I make sure to use fresh, healthy ingredients - local cheese, Stonyfield Organic yogurt, and fresh dill and cucumber. It tastes the best that it can this way!
I hope you enjoy it!
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup feta cheese
- 1 cup Stonyfield Whole Milk Plain Yogurt
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 Tbsp fresh dill, chopped
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 large cucumber peeled and diced
- pinch of salt
Directions
- Mix everything together. Refrigerate for an hour or two before serving with warm pita bread, pita chips, or on a homemade gyro!
- ENJOY!

I love using whole fat yoghurt with some coconut milk when I cook squid, shrimp or chicken curry!
Ooh, that’s a great one Blessie! I need to try it with chicken curry. YUM!
I like to bake with yogurt or sub it when I’m making a creamy dressing.

Great idea!
I usually sub yogurt for water or milk in recipes like muffins for the kids.

Makes them much more moist I think! Great one!
I LOVE tzatziki - I could eat it right out of the bowl.

I agree! Especially when it has feta in it;)
I use it as a substitute for sour cream in many recipes.
And I still have my circa 1990 strainers for making “yogurt cheese”.
I love it Tina! Do you still make “yogurt cheese”??!!
My favorite is with fresh fruit and granola for a yummy breakfast or snack!

I use Yogurt instead of butter when I make brownies and banana bread.
Oooh, I haven’t tried it in brownies but that sounds amazing! Thanks Janet!
