I spend A LOT of time in the kitchen. It is all because I want to. I really like to cook and bake…and experiment. I grew up in a house where my mom also spent a lot of time in the kitchen. She too is an awesome cook. I’m pretty sure I got it from her.
Every year I see new products that go on my wish list for the holidays. It is always fun to try out new gadgets. Some stick and some don’t. In fact, I just got my very first Kitchen Aid Mixer this year for our anniversary and let me tell you, this appliance stuck. It is AWESOME! Now, the garlic slicer I got one year that broke within 3 uses, that one didn’t stick. Sometimes it’s better to do it the old fashioned way. 😉
My Kitchen Must Haves List consists of some things I LOVE and can’t live without and a few things I can’t wait to try out! As a Wayfair Homemaker I was psyched to find out that ALL of my wish list and must have items can be purchased in one place.
Clearly my new Kitchen Aid Mixer is #1 on my list!
#2 I got for Mother’s Day last year. It is my Lodge Cast Iron Skillet. A cast iron pan is a MUST HAVE in your kitchen. You can cook just about anything in it and the taste of food cooked in a cast iron pan is one that can’t be recreated.
#3 Is one of my oldest and most loved appliances – my Cuisinart Mini Prep Food Processor. It was a wedding gift over 11 years ago and it’s still going strong. This one comes in handy for many dishes but my purees wouldn’t be the same without it. Pumpkin puree for breads, applesauce for baking, you name it, it’s a must have!
And of course there are always some fun new items that I’d LOVE to have in my kitchen. Here they are:
#4 Glass Beverage Dispenser with Stand – Every time we have a summer (or winter) party I wish for one of these. They look gorgeous set up on a long table with a label noting what drink creation is inside. A beautiful lemonade or a homemade iced tea would look perfect in one of these. Glass is a must.
I heart Linzer cookies and always struggle cutting out the centers of them. This Classic Linzer Cookie Cutter Set is GENIUS and makes #5! This is totally going on my wish list!
C and I are total smoothie addicts. I will say though, our little single serve blender is becoming slow and not really blending too well anymore. #6 is one that I have been dying for – one of these Ninja systems that everyone is talking about. It sounds luxurious that we could make a large batch of smoothies AND have the option for a single too. This is certainly one of the bigger items on my wish list.
If you haven’t ever seen an Olive Wood Cutting Board you are missing out. They are just gorgeous. A wonderful conversation piece for your next party as it is the perfect serving plate for sliced cheese (fancy, local cheese;). I have embraced my olive wood and used it often since getting it a few years ago!
So tell me, what are your “can’t live withouts” and your “can’t wait to haves”?!
**Disclosure: I participate in the Wayfair Homemaker program and this is a sponsored post on behalf of Wayfair.com. All thoughts and opinions and wish list items are my own. Lucky enough for us all, we can get them at great prices all in one place on Wayfair.com. 😉

I love my Kitchen Aid and had a cast iron skillet years ago, but it got lost in the shuffle of a move at some point. If you get the Ninja, let me know what you think. It has a much better price point than some of the others like it.

I’ll keep you posted! A bunch of good comments on the FB page on this topic to check out!
I’ll admit it. I don’t like to cook at all, but my Vitamix has made our lives so much easier and it’s so easy to use and clean. Don’t waste your money on a Ninja. Vitamix really is the best and you can buy used ones for a decent price. Or QVC usually runs a holiday special. Soups, smoothies, ice cream – it does it all!
I have heard such good things about the Vitamix from everyone! I am worried that for us it is overkill? Super expensive (and from everything I hear totally worth it) for making smoothies, no? I imagine if we made nut butters, soups, etc. it would be totally worth it. Thoughts? What do you use it for most?
Last year we finally got some awesome skillets, including a big huge one, and we use them ALL the time!! Such a good wish list item
