The other night I had some friends over. I invited my favorite Pampered Chef Consultant, Kim Zientek and threw a Soup and Slippers (although now that I think about it, no slippers were involved) party. I have been wanting to have a real life recipe swap and so I figured it was the perfect opportunity to get some new soup recipes. It ended up being a really nice night filled with appetizers (my favorites…Jalapeno Cranberry Baked Brie and Irish Dubliner Stout Kerrygold Cheese), wine, friends, and SOUP!
I had everyone that was coming (plus a few that just couldn’t but wanted to be involved) send me their favorite soup recipe via email. My friends were pretty excited about doing this:) I made sure there were no doubles. My addition was my Beer and Black Bean Chicken Corn Chowder. The others sounded amazing! Italian Wedding Soup, Italian Sausage Soup, Butternut Squash, Carmelized Onion….YUM!
We have a printer at home which made things a lot easier.
I opened up a Google doc and copy pasted the recipes in. I made sure to change the font to 10 and fit two copies of the same recipe on each page. Then I printed off 7 copies of each.
When I finished all of the recipes, I headed over to PicMonkey to create the cover.
The cover that I came up with is below. Feel free to print it and use it for your own soup swap party!
We had a fun time catching up and Kim made a delicious Enchilada Soup in the new Pampered Chef RockCrok. The best part was at the end of the night we all headed home with some soup recipes to try all filled with each other’s memories!
