Can I get a huge cheer because Saturday is National Can-It-Forward Day? It’s the most wonderful time of the year… (to a tune)! I have been enjoying all that canning has to offer over the last few years and each year I get into it more and more. This year my goal was to can pickles (check!). We have also canned strawberry jam, jalapeno jelly, salsa, and some pizza sauce. The list goes on!
Saturday, August 17th, to celebrate, Ball is sponsoring an event to take place in Union Square at the Greenmarket in NYC from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Plenty of canning experts will be on board along with the Food Network star, cookbook author, and James Beard Award Winner Ted Allen.
