My favorite holiday is coming up…Thanksgiving! I love everything about this holiday. I love the fact that it is a holiday all about being with family and giving thanks for everything that we have, big and small. Every year, my family gets together for a big Thanksgiving Dinner, and this year I am lucky enough to be hosting! I can’t wait. I love cooking and it will be so nice to have everyone here in my cozy house.
When I heard about this link-up from Confessions of a Stay-At-Home Mom, I was in immediately. The link-up started last week with appetizer recipes and each week will feature a different course (this week is entrees). Check out all of the great recipes for some ideas on what to make for your Thanksgiving Dinner.
Here is my recipe submission and man is it good! Sorry, I am a bit biased, but I am pretty excited about it. Last week was H’s birthday party and I tested it out on all of the attendees. I will say that over half of the taste-testing guinea pigs were dubious (you will see why when you look at the ingredients), BUT 100% of them came out LOVING this appetizer.
Jalapeño Cranberry Baked Brie
Ingredients:
1 round of brie cheese
½ cup of cranberry relish (I used my wonderful neighbor’s homemade recipe, but you can use your favorite variety. Just make sure it is slightly sweet)
1/3 cup jalapeño jelly (I used some that I had canned last summer)
¼ cup candied pecans
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix together cranberry relish and jalapeño jelly.
Place the brie cheese in a baking dish (I use a pie plate)
Spread the relish/jelly mixture over the brie cheese and sprinkle with candied pecans.
Bake for ~30 minutes or until the cheese is melted in the center.
Serve with crackers.
This is AMAZING! Take my word for it and just try it!

That sounds really yummy! I don’t think I’ve ever tried anything like this before. Thank you for sharing with the 7 Days of Thanksgiving Round up
