Boston Ballet’s The Nutcracker 2014

I have been taking C to The Nutcracker in some form or another ever since she was 3. It has become a tradition of sorts for us. Last year life caught up with us and we just couldn’t get there. I don’t think I realized quite how much it meant to her to be able to go to The Nutcracker.

So this year, in a new place, we’ll be heading to Mikko Nissinen’s The Nutcracker performance at The Boston Opera House. I’m excited to see C’s reaction. We plan on getting dressed up, paint our nails, you know, girl’s night!

The ballet is in Boston through December 31st with numerous performances between now and then, especially on the weekends. You can find the whole schedule here.

Let’s be real, these pictures, gorgeous. This show is amazing and any little girl’s (or boy’s) dream.

C is about to be 8 {cringe – how did the time go so fast!!??} and has always done well with sitting through the main production. That said, my boys would love to be involved in some part of it I just don’t think the fancy show would entice them. When I saw that The Boston Ballet offers free Nutcracker Story Hours, I couldn’t help but think that it would be perfect for them! They are held throughout the beginning of the month throughout various locations around Boston.
