Back to School Backpack Event

Disclosure: I received $25 to purchase a backpack and items to go inside. I then donated this backpack filled with supplies to a student in need. No other compensation was received.

I was so excited to be a part of the BTS Backpack Event this year! The kids and I headed out to Target the other day and we bought an assortment of school supplies which will in turn be donated to a child in need. As we walked through the isles the kids got really excited about picking out a new box of crayons, markers, and colored pencils. We chatted about what school children may use a 3 ring binder for or notebook paper. Since my two are only in Kindergarten and First Grade, it is hard for them to understand needing notebooks, erasers, etc.:)

We packed as much into a brand new book bag as possible and it was such an awesome lesson to teach my kids about giving back to others!

Here is what we got for $25:

  • A Back Pack
  • Elmer’s glue
  • Glue Sticks
  • Box of Crayola Crayons
  • Markers
  • Colored Pencils
  • #2 Pencils
  • Erasers
  • 3-ring binder
  • Notebook
  • Ruled Notepaper
  • Index Cards
  • Pencil Box
  • Ruler

It was a really nice experience and we can’t wait to donate the back pack  to a child in need this school year! We will be leaving it at the front office of our local school so that a student in need of supplies and/or a backpack can have one.

Thanks so much to Madame Deals and Campus Book Rentals for allowing us to participate in this awesome event.
