One thing I am is always running. Sure, I love to run, but I mean I am always on the go. 😉 And one thing I ALWAYS forget is to grab a snack for myself. Oftentimes it is breakfast that I forget to eat and I am thrown off for the whole day.
With the rise in health issues attributed to sugar and the desire for me to decrease the amount of refined sugar in my diet, options for on the go snacks and meals have decreased. Most bars are laden with refined sugar and it is difficult to find ones that aren’t that actually taste good. I am always up for a good taste test so when Amrita sent me some of their bars to try I was game.
I had first met the founder of the company a few years ago at the Natural Products Expo East. I had heard the company’s story and got to taste their bars and they were delicious! I remember being shocked by their sweetness and then even being more shocked when I was told there wasn’t any refined sugar in it.
These bars were made with a top priority to be allergy friendly. That makes this mama happy. I often have a difficult time finding energy bars that are allergy friendly because of their ingredients. Peanuts and nut butters are often included. Not in Amrita bars. These seed and plant based bars are vegan and nut free and gluten free too for that matter!
My favorite – totally the Chocolate Maca. My second favorite – the Apricot Strawberry. They taste delicious! I have yet to try the Mango Coconut but I can’t wait to.
One thing I will warn you of is that though they don’t contain nuts, Amrita clearly discloses on their bars that they are made in a facility that also produces nut products. For us this is a dealbreaker when it comes to feeding it to H. But…I will say, I am primarily the one eating them and I am far more comfortable with him being around them since there are no nuts in them.
I’m excited to be able to giveaway a variety pack of Amrita Bars! Enter below to win one!

apple cinnamon is my fav. I think me kids would like the other two flavors best. I like that they are gluten free bars. my youngest has a few allergies and finding things she will eat is not so easy!
