Dave's Gourmet - Made in the USA {Review and Giveaway}

I always love trying healthy products made by companies with a good story and good values.

Recently I got the opportunity to test out some of Dave’s Gourmet Pasta Sauces through a giveaway being hosted by USA Lovelist.

I had looked over the company website in advance, I was highly anticipating this package from Dave’s Gourmet. The story of how this company began, I found hilarious. Started at a restaurant called Burrito Madness at The University of Maryland, Dave wanted to ward off the late-night drunk kids with the hottest of hot sauces that he could make. It started off in a funny way but quickly became a diversified specialty food company.

I became super excited when I received a pasta sauce in the mail - Butternut Squash Pasta Sauce. Non-traditional AND delicious!

At first I assumed that this Butternut Squash Pasta Sauce would be used on top of our pasta. Then I read more about it. This specialty sauce won Best Pasta Sauce at the New York Fancy Food Show in 2009. But it isn’t just for pasta! It is a versatile sauce that can be used as a base for many other dishes.
