Spicy Mustard Mayo Chicken Kabobs {Recipe}


I am so incredibly excited about this post. But before we get to the giveaway, I get to share a recipe with you. My favorite of the grilling season so far for sure.

Now, I talk often about Mama H on this blog. She’s a phenomenal cook and much of my inspiration for cooking in my own kitchen. Let’s just say, we ate good as kid and we eat good as adults. We were over her house for a Mother’s Day gathering and she made these chicken, steak, and sausage kabobs. They were moist, they were delicious – the perfect kabob! So of course we asked for the recipe. The secret ingredient? Mayo. Yep – butter’s best friend (kind of:). Once again inspiration!

Nothing is better than a kabob! 

I received a set of El Diablo mustards to try out. 6 spicy mustards filled with powerful flavor. Habanero, Jalapeno, Mango, Steakhouse, Roasted Chipotle, and Texas Chili- I couldn’t wait to try them. So I came up with a grill recipe. One that can be used all summer long, tweaked by changing vegetables or mustard flavors.

Spicy Mustard Mayo Chicken Kabobs


1 egg
1/2 cup olive oil (extra light tasting)
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup El Diablo Jalapeno spicy mustard
3 chicken breasts, cubed
Assorted vegetables (peppers, onions, mushrooms, zucchini, anything fresh from the garden)

With a hand blender, mix together the egg, olive oil, lemon juice, and salt until a mayo consistency forms. Stir in El Diablo Jalapeno Hot and Spiy Mustard. Pour this into a gallon sized freezer bag. Add cubed chicken. Marinate a few hours to overnight.

Make skewers by alternating chicken and vegetables or using all veggies on one and chicken on the other. Grill on low – medium slowly until done.

Enjoy the most moist, tender, flavorful kabob you’ve ever tasted. :)
