We had an awesome week last week. A perfect ending to a completely hectic, transitional, just all around crazy summer. My parent’s are here to spend the last few days of summer with us and were able to celebrate with us yesterday when we had some friends over for a little party. Thank gosh for my mom – seriously couldn’t have pulled that one off without her! It was perfect weather and we had the nicest time catching up with old friends and getting to know new ones better.
And now, we look ahead to the week. I won’t lie. I am totally and completely overwhelmed by the start of school. Both emotionally and physically I am drained just thinking about it, dreaming about it, and laying awake at night because of it. I am ready for these first few days to be over. I just want to get into a routine (or have it stay summer forever;).
On that note, I am taking it easy on myself this week as we ease into this transition.
Here’s the plan:
Sunday: Spaghetti
Dad’s request! I made some amazing sauce the other day (if I do say so myself:) so we’ll be having that and maybe some onions and another veggie to go with it.
Monday: Terryaki Steaks on the Grill
Another awesome dad request. Gotta use that grill! Steaks are a great idea. Maybe a baked potato too!
Tuesday: Turkey Breast in the Crockpot with Roasted Potatoes and Green Beans
Our first night of after school activities for the year. Totally making a crockpot meal!
Wednesday: Sloppy Joes
Thursday: Homemade Chicken Nuggets, Rice, and Corn
Friday: Irish Beef Stew
An end to their first week! We’re celebrating with this family favorite!
Saturday: Grilled Terryaki Chicken and Vegetables
A busy Saturday with a town party and soccer. I think we’ll spend the evening relaxing:)
What are you having this week?!

Looks like a yummy week! I haven’t tried a turkey breast in the crockpot, but my family loves when I roast a whole chicken in there. Visting via the blog hop.
