Recycled Eyewear That’s Sustainable And Looks Great Too!

If you follow this blog, you know that I try. I try really hard to do things sustainably. By no means do I do it perfectly, by no means do I claim to know all about doing it perfectly. That’s the beauty of it. It is a journey and I am on it.

About a month ago, I attended one of my all time favorite blogger gatherings, the Mom Mixer. It is this fabulous gathering of women in the Philadelphia area that all love social media and get excited about seeing new products and hearing more about them!

The highlight of this Mom Mixer for me was meeting the lovely people from Visionworks. At first I was just excited because I have worn glasses for the last 20 years. I LOVE finding new frames that fit my face. And…I am super picky. Did I mention that?

While I was browsing through their selection at the Mom Mixer, I noticed a pair of “Eco Frames”. As I learned more about them, I came to realize that I had never seen a pair of recycled frames before and I was completely intrigued. I had never seen a pair before because Visionworks has created the first and only eyewear brand in the world made of 95% recycled materials. And the case…even the case is recyclable and “born recycled” too!

Did I mention they look good? I am slightly biased, but the colors and shape of this eyewear we fun, trendy, and fresh. I love the ones that I chose! They are a shade of brown and fit my face great (which is not that easy to do!).

For every frame that is sold, Eco plants a tree. 650,000 have been planted to date in Cameroon, with a goal of 1 million!

Learn more about the three pillars of these Eco frames below: Look Good, Feel Good, Do Good

The Eco frames are only available at select Visionworks locations so click here to find out if there is one near you!

I am so stoked that I found another part of my life that I can add some sustainability to the mix!

**Disclosure: I received a pair of Eco frames and a giftcard to get lenses from Visionworks. I am totally excited about this product and excited to share it with you all and therefore all thoughts and opinions are my own!
