Lee Jeans Review and Giveaway

lee-jeans-2

Remember awhile back, last spring, I professed my love for Lee Jeans? After a 20 year hiatus, and SO many changes (for the better) by Lee, I was back on the bandwagon. I went from remembering a brand for what I would call “mom jeans” (a.k.a. high waisted, tight rolled) to seeing them in a completely different light…incredibly fashionable and flattering!

Now, don’t get me wrong, none of these qualities that I thought Lee Jeans possessed were bad, they were just not what I as a 20 something and even now, 30 something, wanted. Instantaneously after being reintroduced at, ironically, a Mom Mixer, my mind was blown. I tried on polka dot and ORANGE jeans and LOVED them! I developed a whole new respect for this classic yet stylish brand and suddenly found myself wanting to try more.

Fast forward a few months and I was given the opportunity to try out another pair of Lee Jeans. I opted for a more classic wash, however, a bit dark and went with the Monroe Style Straight Leg, Horizon Wash in the Classic fit. One of the things I love about Lee Jeans is that they are true to size. You know, the way Gap and Old Navy used to be true to size like umpteen years ago. So, I ordered my size, AND, they fit.

I will say though, for a 5’1″ woman, the short pair do still run a bit long. I don’t mind the cuff at all so they were fine for me. My friend Stephanie was going to try the ankle length and report back so I will update as soon as that happens. :)

I love that these jeans are stretch but not spandex. It fit perfectly in all of the right places. It was a bit higher waisted than I am used to these days but I will say, it was a bit of a relief knowing that when I had to bend down to chat with H about not throwing something for the 50th time in one day I don’t have to worry about my shirt riding up and the back of my pants down. Low rise isn’t all it is cracked up to be (no pun intended) though Lee carries this fit as well;)

Lee Jeans has some really great styles out right now. I particularly am in love with…..
