7 Options For a Handmade Mother’s Day Bouquet

Motherā€™s Day is coming up at the end of this week and of course, I am all about celebrating this holiday. šŸ˜‰ One of my ā€œthingsā€ is that I canā€™t stand when Ben spends money on flowers. Fresh cut from outsideā€¦wonderful. The potted hydrangea that my brother gives me that I replant every yearā€¦wouldnā€™t trade it for the world. $20 or more for a bouquet from the storeā€¦no need. I realize that this is very special to some and I think that it is all about the sentiment, but for us, at least not yet, there isn’t that sentimental story behind it, so, no need.

I made some recycled flowers for Valentineā€™s Day with the kids and thought that making flowers would be the perfect idea for some Motherā€™s Day presents. There are some really great crafts out there that will get a beautiful bouquet of flowers on the counter, some are even recycled (bonus!). Ā An added benefit is that they last a bit longer and bring along a sentimental value to them.

Make one kind or make them all, below are my favorite picks for handmade flowers!

1. Made out of egg cartons and old magazine pages, a Recycled Flower Bouquet is the perfect way to reuse and decorate at the same time!

2. Heart shaped flowers like the ones seen here are so cute and look like a really simple craft to do with the little one!

3. Classy Mommy brings us another great, easy to makeĀ Spring Flower Tissue Paper Craft! These would look adorable on a counter in a cute tea cup like she has it displayed.

4. The art of paper folding flowers is another great craft. It can be made easy for the kiddos or a bit more intricate for the adults. Here is a great kids paper flower craft from Kiwi Families!

5. Ā I LOVE this Cupcake Liner Flower craft from Parenting.com. There are endless possibilities for colors, designs, and it is easy for children to do. Those bright colors would look perfect in a flower bouquet!

6. Have left over paint chips? Create a beautiful, colorful bouquet out of them for the special mom in your life. Make it in shades of their favorite colors! B-Inspired Mama shows us how… Kids Paint Chip Flower Craft!
