H has few words. A classic third child that thrives on his brother and sister’s attention (and them talking FOR him)! He says dada, please, beep beep, binky, and…..CHUGGA CHUGGA CHOO CHOO. Clear as day he makes this adorable train sound anytime he hears, sees, or plays with one. Now that C and G are back in school and he has a few moments alone to play trains in the living room, it makes my heart happy when I hear him making these sounds.
H and his enthrallment with trains has always been there but on a trip to Colorado this past June, his fascination with Thomas began. Since watching his first episodes while passing time on the plane, he has been hooked and in love with his little diecast Thomas train! These days, any where, any time is #ThomasTime. When we get in the car, he makes sure he has that train in hand. As we are driving, he is flipping through his Thomas book in his carseat. Chugga Chugga Choo Choo all.day.long!
Thomas toys that make sounds…even better! On the kitchen floor…oh yeah! Any time is #ThomasTime!
As I handed H a new Thomas T-shirt the other day, he quickly proceeded to take his existing t-shirt off (Hint much?). I put it on and he smiled the biggest smile ever as he pointed to it and mumbled his word for Thomas:) We headed to the store to grab some knobs and pulls for our renovation project and he threw a GIGANTIC tantrum in the middle of the isle because I wouldn’t let him take off. All I had to do was say, “Oh my, is that Thomas on your shirt?” and he was distracted long enough to forget about his meltdown. Gotta love 2 year olds! That Thomas T-shirt saved my day!
And of course before bed every night, we grab “green” and “bink”, climb up in the chair, and read. H is loving his new Thomas books these days! We especially love the Blue Mountain Mystery books. G often times will jump up and read along with us too!
When is #ThomasTime in your household? Share a pic on Thomas and Friends Facebook page! Oh and who is your favorite character other than Thomas of course:) Don’t pretend you don’t have one! Mine is Harold for sure!
