**Disclosure: I received a sampling of products from Happy Family in order to review them and share my thoughts and opinions with others. All opinions in this post are my own.

As we prepared for our trip to Colorado, I became completely anxious about what kinds of “healthy” snacks that we would have while we were on the go for C, G, and H. With an airplane ride, long car rides, and being away from home, I knew that homemade snacks would not be an option for long. I had made up some batches of mini muffins, but you can only shove so many of them in your carry on.

I grabbed up all of the Happy Family snacks and pouches that we had and threw them in. Honestly, I  felt good just having options with us that had some essence of health and nutrients to them. H is into the pouch foods these days. He has figured out how to suck them down in an instant and I think loves the fact that he can feed himself with them. He loves the applesauce ones. Honestly with combos like sweet potato, apple, carrots and cinnamon, can it ever get boring?

We have been buying Happy Family foods since H was a little one. We fed him the oatmeal baby cereal as his first food.

Happy Family organic products now range from first starting solids on up to adulthood. When you look at the labels on their products you notice foods and nutrients that you may not think of being in a baby food. I have been completely intrigued by their combinations and honestly think they are great. Amaranth, quinoa, coconut milk, etc. You can read more about their “enlightened nutrition philosophy” here.

Let me take you through some of their best products from my (and C, G, and H’s) eyes…

Baby: Love the oatmeal baby cereal! It makes me feel good to know that my child is getting an organic, healthy start. Of course H loved Puffs (the greens puffs specifically) and the Yogis (small bite size dried yogurt bites)!

Toddler: This is the stage we are in now with H and he continues with the Puffs although he could eat an entire container;) We have also started trying the Blueberry Beet Rice Cakes and we need to give the Veggie and Fruit Crisps a try. The pouches are a favorite for sure both the flavors and the idea that he can tackle them all by himself:)

Kids: There are some pretty great flavors in these pouches…Caramel Apple Treat, Coco Orange Mango! YUM! I love that older kids can experience the same nutrition on the go as infants. I feel like this age group is often forgot about in terms of healthy snacks since they are better able to chew and eat mainstream. They didn’t get into the fruit snacks, but with options like Sunflower Butter and Jam Bites that are nut free, I will definitely be trying these on H when the time comes. I was happy to have these options on our trip for sure.

Grownups: Yep, we can even get in on the fun! I did try the Breakfast Smoothie pouches and I gotta say, they were good! Super Cinnamon in particular;)
