Cradle & Thread {Review and Giveaway} – Closed

H got some new clothes a few weeks ago, and he has been in heaven wearing them ever since! I was lucky enough to have been approached by this eco-friendly, Made in the USA, environmentally green clothing line, Cradle & Thread, and was sent a few items for H to try. Immediately I was excited. I remember when C was little, someone had bought her a sleeper that was made out of organic cotton. It was one of my favorite things to put her in because the way it felt after it had been washed was luxurious.  If you have ever dressed your little one in a premium cotton, you know what I mean. It feels so soft to the touch, and it must feel wonderful for the little one wearing it!

As you can imagine, H does not really get new clothes that are his own. You see, with an awesome big brother G and fantastic cousin D, he gets…hand-me-downs. Lots of them. We LOVE hand-me-downs! I am fully in support of the hand-me-down practice and obviously we use them ALL the time. However, sometimes it is nice to have something that is all your own. So, though he may not have jumped up and down per say, I could tell he was pretty excited. :-)

Cradle & Thread is a pretty awesome company. They pride themselves on being eco-friendly with clothing made out of domestically grown cotton. Based in Atlanta, they are Made in the USA, and they give back. I fell in love with Cradle & Thread shortly after reading their story. They believe that being is all about giving and so their give back program, Giving Sewn In, donates an entire clothing set to a child in need for every $100 spent. These clothing sets (ThreadBoxes) are given to children by the U.S. program, World Vision. Love this!

You can read more about Cradle and Thread’s charity efforts here.

As part of the eco-friendly approach, clothes are sent with the least amount of packaging necessary. H’s clothes arrived in a small compact padded envelope, and were folded inside beautifully with a bit of information about the company. At the moment, H is fitting into 12-18 month clothes. The Little Sumpin’ Sweater Cardigan, Giggle Pose Pants, and The Better Bodysuit were in our box and they were the perfect combo. I love the subtle colors. We received Illusion Blue (a baby blue) as well as Lemon Meringue (a creamy light yellow). The attention to detail is phenomenal as well. I love when dark threads are used on light colors and this is the case with the clothes that we received from Cradle & Thread. There is just something about that combination!

H has worn his clothes a few times now and really is comfortable in them. I love that we have the cardigan that we can just throw over his long sleeve onesie if it is chilly outside. I have a lot of friends who are having babies right now…I can’t wait to gift a Cradle and Thread bundle to one of them for a shower or baby gift!

Cradle & Thread does a wonderful job on their social media efforts and can be found on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, so make sure to follow them for updates and deals!
