A Wardrobe For Active Vacations

So, we are headed to Colorado for a week! Though the weather can change there at the drop of a hat at this time…hot as heck during the day and cold at night or maybe not hot as heck and just cool, I feel like this trip is easy for me to pack for. This type of wardrobe happens to be one of my favorites. We will be flying there and while we are there, we will be road-tripping it to the Grand Canyon. We will be hiking, going on adventures, spending lots of time in the car, and even going out to eat. That means a wardrobe that is comfortable yet classy and sporty yet fashionable.

Active Vacations!

Merona sheer maxi dress / Pink Lotus hooded sweatshirt / Gap elbow length sleeve top / Athleta skort / Asics / Reef shoes / Patagonia cap / Hillcrest Capri | Athleta
I never go anywhere without my running shoes…I am a die hard Asics lover of 17 years. Yes, I have been in the same style shoe for 17 years. Since it is the summer, I’ll be bring along my running hat too. I am thinking layering will be the name of the game, so a thin-ner shirt (I love 3/4 length sleeves will work perfectly) with a sweatshirt (or cardigan) to go over it at night. I love the look of the “running skort”, especially when you want to dress it up on hiking days. I have never tried running in one…not sure it would be so flattering:) And capris for the adventures that may require a bit less graceful moves and on the plane. For those nights where we will be eating out, nothing beats a maxi dress with flip-flops. Great for hot weather or cool with a cardigan over it and slightly dressy!
I forgot to include my cowboy boots but that will come in another post;)
